Temple I (Ah Cacao or Great Jaguar Temple)
Late Classic (600-900 AD)
Ca. 730 AD, Ŧ Jasaw Chaan K’awiil I (682-734 AD)
Comments: This limestone temple is a Petén-characteristic nine-level stepped pyramid structure. The tomb of the ruler Jasaw Chaan K’awiil I has been located within the structure although it is unclear whether it was built for this specific purpose, or this use was a later adaptation.
