  West Bank, Governorate Al-Uqsur: Valley of the Kings Royal Necropolis
New Kingdom (1550-1069 BC), XVIII-XX Dynasties
XVI-XI centuries BC
Comments: The Theban Necropolis is an area of the west bank of the
Nile, opposite ancient Egyptian city of Thebes (modern Luxor). It was
used for ritual burials for much of Pharaonic times, especially in the
New Kingdom of Egypt (XVIII-XX Dynasties). Very dry and hot place!
