Vizier Mereruka Tomb: Sacrificial Hall
Old Kingdom, VI Dynasty (2345-2181)
Ŧ Teti (2345-2333 BC)
Comments: This mástaba tomb is the largest known in Saqqara, with some 32 rooms. A vividly carved funerary statue of Mereruka steps out of the mock door at the northern wall of the six-columned hall, marking the threshold between this world and the next.
