New Kingdom, XIX Dynasty (1298-1187 BC)
Ca. 1244-1224 BC, Ŧ Ramses II (1279-1213 BC)
Comments: The divine aspects of Egyptian kingship became the
main theme in the iconography of the Nubian temples of Ramses II.
The colossal statues on the façade of of this rock temple are images
of the deified king.
