Rock temple dedicated to Hathor and Nefertari
New Kingdom, XIX Dynasty (1298-1187 BC)
Ŧ Ramses II (1279-1213 BC)
Comments: The symmetrically arranged standing rock-cut statues of Ramses II and his queen Nefertari were, for purely practical reasons, inset onto the temple's sloping façade, as if standing in shrines, but remained attached to the original rock.
