Museo Sylvanus G. Morley: Stela 31 (detail)
Early Classic (200-600 AD)
445 AD, Ŧ Siyaj Chaan K'awiil II (411-456 AD)
Comments: This stela was erected by the ruler Siyaj Chaan K'awiil
(Stormy Sky) II (411-456 AD). It contains more than 200 years of
Maya history. The whole stela was buried inside Temple 33 sometime
in the VI century AD and because of that is very well preserved.
